Summer Recreational Programs
Join our therapists in making music with friends this summer!
The following groups are designed for teens and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, and will be offered in June/July 2026.
*No previous musical experience is necessary to join!*
Note: All groups must have a minimum number of participants enrolled to avoid cancellation. Registered members will receive an email two weeks prior to the class start date with group logistics, or cancellation information if necessary.
Quad Cities
Bucket Beats
This social drumming group will highlight creativity, teamwork, motor skills, and social connection using everyday materials like buckets, drumsticks, and other various instruments!
Participants will learn how to create music together in a fun, collaborative, welcoming space where they can explore rhythm, build confidence, and express themselves through accessible, high-energy percussion.

Rock the Summer
Learn basic skills on several rock band instruments and work as a band
to record a cover song and/or create an original recording!
The final session will include a "Variety Show" in which participants will
perform learned song(s) live for family & friends, and will have the opportunity
to showcase individual talents!
*Ability to independently manipulate a drum, guitar, or keyboard as directed is required, or assistance from a family, friend, or staff member will be expected.*
