Recreational Music

Music therapists at West Music facilitate a number of programs designed to provide accessible community music-making opportunities for individuals with a variety of disabilities. These programs include performance ensembles and music lessons.

Currently, our recreational programs include:

  • SoundReach Choirs in Iowa City, Greater Cedar Rapids, the Quad Cities, & Des Moines Metro
  • Adult Music Program (AMP) in Cedar Rapids
  • SoundReach Singalongs offered remotely via Zoom
  • Therapist led lessons on piano, guitar, voice, or drums offered remotely or in person at any location
  • Special summer music groups, to be announced soon!

At times, recreational programs have also included bell or boomwhacker choirs, ukulele bands, or rock bands!
